About Me

Hi there! I'm someone who's spent years in the trenches of digital transformation, watching executives grapple with AI adoption. Most aren’t sure what to prioritise, and don’t yet know what they don’t know.

I am Bilal Khan, a product-oriented technologist and Head of AI at Seedcloud, where I specialise in translating complex AI systems into strategic value for investors and executive teams. With over 14 years of experience spanning early-stage startups and high-growth ventures, I have consistently operated at the intersection of applied machine learning, computational neuroscience, and business-critical product development.

My academic foundation is rooted in artificial intelligence and computational neuroscience, holding a BSc (Hons) in Artificial Intelligence and an MSc by Research in Adaptive Neural Computation from the University of Edinburgh. My early work modelled time-series processing in the primary auditory cortex, grounding my technical practice in biologically-inspired algorithms and probabilistic modelling.

Professionally, I have co-founded and led multiple AI-centric ventures, including Skwire and Property Technology Ltd, delivering solutions in real estate forecasting and predictive analytics. I have architected systems that processed hundreds of terabytes of data at scale (e.g., at Big Sofa), and have overseen global product deployments with millions of users (e.g., at Fling – See the World).

"The best AI strategy is the one your team will actually use."

Today, at Seedcloud, I help investors and founders de-risk technology strategy, validate AI product-market fit, and design defensible machine learning infrastructure. My engagements span due diligence, product acceleration, and hands-on technical leadership across a wide spectrum of domains: from generative models to enterprise AI.

What drives me is the pursuit of meaningful intelligence - systems that not only scale technically but serve real human needs with clarity and integrity. I write and speak frequently about the pragmatic boundaries of AI, the failure modes of automation, and how emerging technology intersects with organisational design.

If you are building at the frontier of data, intelligence, or digital strategy - and need a partner who understands both the science and the scale - I welcome the conversation.
